Penketh Scouts and Guides were registered as a Charity with the Department of Education and Science (reference number L330/1100).

Land passed to the Boy Scout Association Trust Corporation.

On 29th September 1966 a Declaration of Trust was drawn up by the Boy Scouts Association Trust Corporation which sets up the Joint Committee that has representatives nominated from the 28th Warrington Scout group and the 8th Warrington Guide Company.
